Remediation
Maritime Constructions has formed a strategic alliance with Vermi-remediation Pty Ltd to facilitate the delivery of turnkey solutions for projects that incorporate remediation of contaminated soils or dredge spoil. Vermi-remediation provide Bio remediation and Phyto-remediation services utilising bulk masses of earthworms, worm castings, biological liquids and hyper-accumulator flora. This is a new area of bioremediation that has already demonstrated outstanding success in delivering low cost and environmentally appropriate remediation on large scale projects including those with Heavy metals contamination. As an emerging remediation technology, projects are eligible for R&D tax concessions. Applications include the remediation of mine sites, bio-solids, stormwater catchments, industrial and commercial sites, hydro carbon spills or storage sites to name a few.
