Dredging and Port Development

Maritime Constructions' Dredging and Port Development team specialises in partnering with clients to find cost effective
and environmentally considered solutions to port expansion and maintenance requirements.

Combined with our extensive Marine Construction expertise, we are able to provide turn-key port
development solutions.

Our Dredging and Port Development capabilities include:

  • Capital dredging;
  • Maintenance dredging;
  • Wharf upgrades;
  • Channel markers;
  • Land reclamation;
  • Beach replenishment; and
  • Sand bypassing.

These capabilities are underpinned by access to in-house workshop facilities and strong alliances with equipment suppliers
which allow us to tailor our specialised equipment to meet diverse project requirements.

Our dedicated team of dredging professionals, headed by Sikko Krol, an expert with over 20 years of international dredging
experience, are provided access to both in-house and international training opportunities.

We own and operate a fleet of purpose built dredging plant and equipment including a variety of submersible pumps. An
emphasis on demountable dredgers and barges means we use the most cost effective transport medium available to any location.

This reduces the substantial mobilisation costs inherent in many dredging projects and allows us to execute projects across
the country, even as far away as the Cocos Keeling Islands.

This fleet is supplemented by access to a broad range of dredging plant through our industry partners.
